Sandalwood according to Aji Janantaka’s papyrus has a function as a material for making sacred pelinggih and pratima buildings as a form of God and is believed by the Balinese Hindu community, but there are some people who do not understand the meaning and function of sandalwood in literature. (1) how to The use of sandalwood in Balinese Hindu beliefs according to lontar Aji Janantaka, (2) What is the function of sandalwood as a sacred building and God’s Nyasa for the Balinese Hindu community according to lontar Aji Janantaka, (3) What are the implications of using sandalwood for Hindus. The purpose of the study was to describe Aji Janantaka’s lontar, the use of sandalwood according to Lontar Aji Janantaka, the function of sandalwood as a sacred building and God’s Nyasa and the implications of the use of sandalwood for Hindus. The results of this study include: (1) Aji Janantaka’s lontar description tells about the story of trees that are affected by the cukil daki disease and receive a blessing from Bhatara Dharma so that types of trees and flower plants can be used as a means of ceremonies,sacred buildings and God’s service, (2) The use of wood sandalwood in the belief of the Balinese Hindu community according to Aji Janantaka’s lontar as a sacred building material for pelinggih, and pratima. (3) The function of sandalwood as a pelinggih and pratima is as a function as a symbol of Paramasiwa and function as a symbol of Brahmana, (4) The implications of using sandalwood are socio-cultural, religious, and economic implications
