Implementasi Ajaran Sattvam Dalam Membentuk Budi Pekerti Bagi Siswa Kelas VIII di SMPN 8 Singaraja

The era of Kali (Kali Yuga) seems difficult to predict to achieve a balance of living the truth of dharma with material needs as a supporter of knowledge life. All of this can be proven by the spread of the problems we face in the education sector. There are still many cases, even leading to very complex moral demoralization. Based on the phenomena that have occurred above, this research is focused on the implementation of the Sattvam Teachings which have been adapted to the problems faced by society today. Based on this background, research problems can be formulated as follows: (1) What is the role of teaching Sattvam teaching in shaping character for class VIII students at SMPN 8 Singaraja? (2) What are the influencing factors in shaping the character for class VIII students at SMPN 8 Singaraja? (3) How is the Implementation of Sattvam Teachings in shaping character for class VIII students at SMPN 8 Singaraja?The results of this study are the implementation of the teachings of Sattvam to the Sraddha level. By understanding the characteristics of humans in class VIII, namely the teachings of Sattvam, it is possible to know the form, function and meaning so that to go beyond these three traits can actually be done by following the instructions of dharma through the role of the teacher. in providing input directions for examples of the nature of Sattvam teachings as for parts of Sattvam teachings, namely (1) Sattvam teachings in improving the moral character of class VIII students of SMPN 8 Singaraja by showing a wise nature and, where the character of this nature must be always given direction so that this trait always arises from students to find noble character in accordance with religious teachings, because this trait is difficult to find and must always be trained and directed by Hindu religious teachers. (2) The teaching of Sattvam in improving the character of the eighth grade students of SMPN 8 Singaraja by showing the nature of being active, full of lust, enthusiasm and full of energy, in forming character. Factors that influence the formation of character for grade VIII SMPN 8 Singaraja students are internal factors (internal factors) and external factors (external factors). The internal factors (internal factors) are the three natures, karma phala. External factors (external factors), namely; lifestyle, environment and science and technology.
