Nilai Nilai Pendidikan Agama Hindu Dalam Tradisi Ngeyehin Karang Di Desa Pekraman Pedawa Kecamatan Banjar Kabupaten Buleleng

This study aims to determine the implementation, functions and values of Hindu religious
education contained in the tradition of Ngeyehin karang in Pedawa Village, Buleleng, Bali. This study
used a qualitative research method with data collection methods using interviews, observation and
document study. The sampling technique used is Snowball Sampling. This research has the following
results : (1) The implementation of the tradition of ngeyehin karang is mostly carried out the day
before Nyepi, before people melaspas their homes, or even before other Hindu religious ceremonies
are held. The implementation of ngeyehin karang consists of the initial stage, the main stage and
closing stage. (2) The function of the ngeyehin karang tradition in general is to make sacrifices or
sincere offerings to the five maha buthas, better known as butha yadnya and as thanksgiving and
gratitude to the natural environment around us, because while living in the yard it we have received
many gifts and fortune. Its specific function is to neutralize negative auras in the yard and as reward
for the spirits in the yard so they don’t disturb the home owner. (3) The values of Hindu Religious
Education contained in the tradition of ngeyehin karang are cultural values, artistic, mutual
cooperation, social, tatwa, ceremonial, and religious education.
