MEMBANGUN KARAKTER SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR MELALUI FOLKLOR BALI

Abstract
Building children's character from an early age is very important for parents and teachers, it is hoped that children will have good character from an early age. Building children's character can be done through formal, non-formal and informal education. The character of students can be instilled starting at the elementary school level. One of the things that can be done to instill character in the formal education environment of elementary school students is through planting folklore in their learning. Thus, it is necessary to prepare teaching materials for elementary school students in the form of stories by utilizing traditional expressions that contain noble values that can be used as examples of good character for students. In a good folklore there are many values, including: didactic, historical, humorous, heroic, religious, cult (individual) and traditional values. These values will be able to build the character of elementary school students if they are continuously applied in learning.
