Character is a behavior that is implemented based on the values that have been embedded while the understanding of character education is an effort to create a learning process so that learners can develop character, habits and morals actively by instilling virtues in learners in order to underlie the learners in a way of attitude. The purpose of character education is the formation of character in accordance with the basic foundation of Pancasila contained in the 1945 Constitution. In Hindu philosophy it is explained that Tat Twam Asi is the moral teaching of unlimited decency, which is synonymous with humanity and Pancasila in shaping local character. Conception of the principle of humanity in Pancasila, if we look seriously is the realization of The Tat Twam Asi teachings contained in the Vedic scriptures. Through tattwamasi teachings on Hindu Religious Education inherently increasing the potential of spritual includes the introduction, understanding, and planting of religious values, as well as the practice of character values that are implicitly embedded in the individual or collective life of society can have an increase. The increase in spritual potential ultimately aims at optimizing the various potentials possessed by human beings whose actualization reflects their dignity and dignity as God's beings.
